Rede-Phi-ning Sisterhood

Sisterhood is one of the things that we value most in Phi Theta Gamma. Even after sisters graduate, they still hold on to those they met through the sorority. We have sisterhood event at least once a week which can include things like game nights, movie nights, crafting, attending a sporting event, going to the fair, swimming, bowling, grabbing dinner, and many more! Some specialty sisterhood events we do include big/little reveal, initiation, Founder's Weekend, Letter/symbol/paddle exchanges, and sisterhood retreat. Big Little Reveal

A "Big" is like a mentor. Every new member gets a big the semester she joins. It's kept a secret who her big is for a week while her big secretly delivers gifts and clues to her little to try to help her figure it out. There is then a reveal where all the littles find out who their bigs are and which family they'll be in! It's always a fun and exciting time no matter which end of it you're on!

Initiation

Initiation is when all new members have completed their new member classes and are ready to be active members of Phi Theta Gamma! It's truly a day full of sisterhood and celebration as the newest pledge class is officially welcomed into the sisterhood.

Founder's Weekend

Every October we celebrate our founding Date. Alumnae and founders come to town and celebrate another year of Phi Theta Gamma with the current actives!

Letter, Symbol, and paddle exchanges

At the end of every semester, the newest members of Phi Theta Gamma receive a set of wooden Greek letters decorated by their bigs. In return, the Bigs receive either a wooden star or wooden dragonfly (their choice) decorated by their littles! Traditionally, when a sister turns 21, her little makes her a paddle. Some sisters decide to do a paddle exchange with other sisters as well to join in on the fun!

Sisterhood Retreat

Every Spring semester the actives get away and grow closer through a sisterhood retreat. Alumnae are always invited, and usually includes some really fun activities to get to know each other and bond.
