A Brief Chapter History

Phi Theta Gamma sorority was founded by Elizabeth Baker, Erica Hastings, and Lisa Richardson on October 10, 2010. Their meetings first took place in the Marie A. Davidson building and at the Baker Pattillo Student Center on campus. At their very first meeting in October 2010, they started creating the basic information for the sorority. Many ideas were discussed, but the most fitting are the ideals and rituals we still use today. Once the ladies had a basic idea of what they wanted the sorority to be, Elizabeth began writing the constitution and rituals, and Lisa wrote the creed. Once all of these things had been written the ladies went before Beverly Farmer, the Greek life director, with their proposal on October 10, 2010. This was the official day of the founding of Phi Theta Gamma.
